Content Creator User Guide

The easifan mobile app connects fans to live, local entertainment, arts and sports. The content management system (CMS) that powers the easifan app makes it easi for performers, athletes and venues to create profiles and to create, post, manage and promote live, local events. The app and CMS are available free of charge.

We refer to all performers and athletes as Stars. Stars may be members of Groups or Teams. Venues host events. Registered content creators create Star, Group, Team and Venue profiles that become building blocks to build exciting local events and post them on our platform.

Our platform is much more than a listing of live, local entertainment, arts and sports. The more you engage with the platform, the more you will get from it. Fans can create a personalized ideas event feed, get notifications about events featuring their favourite Stars, Groups, Teams or Venues, access ticket information and links, and use powerful search tools to explore and plan. Fans and content creators can use familiar like and share features to influence event rankings. Events can be promoted to appear prominently in event feeds and stimulate ticket sales.

We want to build local communities that support the discovery and development of local talent. We encourage and facilitate collaboration amongst local venues, performers and athletes to create events on our platform.

Your home screen is a dashboard that displays your portfolio of profiles and a snapshot of the next five events featuring the Venues, Stars, Groups and Teams that you manage. If you create an account just to create and manage your own Star profile, you will only see one Star profile and any upcoming events in which you are performing. If you also manage a Group, you will see your Star profile, the Group profile and any upcoming events in which you are performing solo or with the Group. If you manage a team or a league, you will see all the profiles and events that you have created.

The Organize and Manage menu allows you to create, view, edit, copy, transfer and delete profiles and events.

To allow maximum flexibility, our platform allows any registered content creator to create an event. But venue managers have ultimate control over all events posted at their venue. If you create an event but are not the venue manager, the venue manager will receive a notice that you have created an event. If the venue manager has not authorized the event, they can delete the event and/or contact you at the email address provided.

Star, Group, Team and Venue profiles allow fans to discover and learn about talent, venues and relationships without leaving the app. To power this feature, the Venue and Lineup fields are required fields when building an event.

Create New Event presents a simple online form to create an event. Enter your event name, select the event type, write a description, select the event date and time, select the venue, select the event lineup, add ticket details, and add photos.

Start time displays in events and determines the display order for all listings except event feeds, which are ranked by event popularity (determined by our Popularity Index algorithm.) End time does not display unless you choose to display it. End time determines when the event will drop from event feeds.

For paid events, select the Paid button and select Ticket Details to open another form. Enter the ticket price, or ticket price range. For advance ticket sales, select Box Office to display the Venue phone number if tickets can be purchased by phone; if tickets can be purchased online, select Online Tickets and paste the link to the event from the ticketing platform that powers the online tickets.

All events require a cover photo. You may add up to three additional photos.

To provide the best fan experience, we only feature highly competitive sports events that will appeal to a large public fan base. For that reason, we set up and administer the leagues, tournaments and competitions that are featured on our platform. We actively engage with governing sports bodies in each of our markets to identify select leagues, tournaments and competitions to get them set up on our platform. In the case of team sports, a team must be associated with a league or tournament on the platform when a team profile is created. Profiles and events can be transferred to another registered content creator. This provides flexibility around profile creation and editing and allows for collaboration when building events. When profiles and events are transferred, all internal links are maintained.

During our demonstration and testing phase, we created selected profiles and events based on information extracted from public domain websites and social media. We can transfer profiles so Stars, Groups, Teams and Venues don’t have to create profiles from scratch. Once ownership of a profile has been transferred within the platform, the new owner can edit the profile as required and manage the profile going forward. We can also transfer events so the new owner can use our convenient copy feature when creating future events. Email us at support@easifan.com to claim your demonstration profile.

To transfer a profile or event, select the Change Ownership icon and enter the email address of another registered content creator. If the email address entered is confirmed, select the Assign button.

To maintain strict controls over Venue profile management, Venue profiles cannot be transferred from one content creator to another. If management responsibility for a Venue changes, please have the new manager register as a content creator, then email support@easifan.com to request that we assign that Venue profile to the new manager. Provide the email address associated with the new manager’s content creator account.

Events are listed chronologically in the four event feeds on the easifan app, but each day’s events are displayed based on our Popularity Index algorithm, starting with the most popular.

Our Popularity Index assigns point values to each like and share associated with an event. An event at a popular Venue will have a higher Popularity Index; an event featuring Groups or Teams with larger fan bases will have a higher Popularity Index.  When Groups or Teams have rosters of Stars with larger fan bases, the Popularity Index increases exponentially. The Popularity Index of an event increases more when you or your fans like and share the event.

Influence the ranking of your events through increased fan engagement.

TIPS

Share your profiles and events on your social media channels to build awareness about the app and stimulate fan engagement.

Encourage your followers to download the app and like and share your profiles and events.

Fans liking your profiles will populate their list of Favourites and trigger notifications when new events are added featuring their favourite Stars, Groups, Teams and Venues, as well as boost the Popularity Index for events featuring those Stars, Groups, Teams and Venues. Fans sharing your profiles and events will immediately boost an event’s Popularity Index; bringing more engaged fans to the app should result in exponential increases to the Popularity Index of future events.

Event creators can promote their events on our platform to have their events displayed at the top of our event feeds, usually to stimulate advance ticket sales for larger events or to promote an event in a different market to widen the audience.

To enquire about promoting your event, contact us at support@easifan.com. We will implement self-serve promoted events in a future release.
